Author Bio: Judith Graves

You’ve just entered the world of young adult fiction author Judith Graves. How lovely. Please do stop in for a few minutes, you’re invited…

Judith has loved all things Victorian since birth. Upon meeting the love of her life, Mr. Graves, he – thankfully – also had a hankering for history and antique pocket watches. They enjoyed a theme wedding held at historical Fort Edmonton Park - they wore period costumes and completed the event with a carriage ride. That was way back in 1995. The couple were steampunk, before steampunk was cool.

Judith has many projects in the works. The STRANGEWAYS tales: The Wraith, and The Blood Brothers, are the prequel series to the SKINNED series: Under My SkinSecond Skin, and Skin of My Teeth. In addition, you won’t want to miss the middle-grade, non-fiction series, Most-Wanted Monsters, Judith is co-writing with YA/MG author, Dawn Dalton.

Residing in a northern Alberta community, similar to the fictional town of Redgrave, where SKINNED is set – Judith unhappily endures snow in the winter, and runs away from bees in the summer.  A firm believer that Canadian teen fiction can be sexy, action packed and snarky as hell – Judith writes paranormal stories with attitude.

Judith is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta, the Canadian Children’s Book CentreSociety of Children’s Book Writers & IllustratorsInternational Thriller Writers, and has toured with the Young Alberta Book Society. She’d love to visit your library or school for an author visit or writer’s workshop!
